In 1924, Kegham Dantziguian, a master craftsman in iron and
steel works, establishes his workshop on Mar Maroun Street in
Beirut, Lebanon. Later he moves to new premises on Corniche el
Nahr before taking up in 1971 the new current location in the
industrial area of Mekalles , at the outskirts of Beirut. In
1965, Garbis Dantziguian, a newly graduate Mechanical Engineer,
joins the company and adds the automation department to the
company structure by manufacturing the first automatic doors and
wireless remote controlled garage doors and gates in the
region.
Later and during the civil war in Lebanon, the company
transferred its experience to the Arab world through a number
of prestigious projects in Kuwait, in the United Arab Emirates
where a branch of the company was opened under the same trade
name .
In 1986, DANTZIGUIAN signs a contract with the French
consortium to manufacture and install the steel works in Egypt
for the Cairo Metro project. In 1989, through its offices in
Paris, France, a new contract is awarded for aluminum works to
be manufactured and installed in Thailand . This was the
beginning of a new branch as DANTZIGUIAN-THAI LTD. through
which several impressive tasks have been executed in Bangkok
and Vietnam .
